Role Overview

The SAP Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting integrations between SAP systems and other enterprise applications. The role ensures seamless workflow automation across business processes such as Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Manufacturing, Finance, HR, and Supply Chain. This specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain stable, secure, and high-performing integration environments that support the company’s end-to-end operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Integration Design & Development

Design, build, and maintain integration solutions using SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI), SAP PO/PI, API Management, or other middleware tools.

• Develop and manage all types of integration objects including APIs, IDocs, RFCs, OData services, BAPIs, EDI interfaces, SOAP/REST endpoints.
• Translate business workflows into technical integration designs.

2. End-to-End Workflow Integration

• Integrate SAP with internal/external systems across core business workflows:
• Order-to-Cash: CRM, e-commerce, WMS shipping systems
• Procure-to-Pay: Supplier portals, Ariba, vendor EDI
• Manufacturing: MES, IoT, quality systems
• Finance: Banks, payment gateways, reporting systems
• HR: SuccessFactors, third-party payroll and attendance systems

3. Solution Architecture & Process Alignment

• Understand business processes and map workflow requirements to SAP integration solutions.
• Support digital transformation projects involving cloud, mobile, and hybrid integration scenarios.
• Ensure integrations follow best practices in scalability, performance, and maintainability.

4. Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Monitor interface performance, queues, and message flows using SAP monitoring tools.
• Analyze and resolve integration errors and system failures.
• Work proactively to optimize system stability and minimize downtime.

5. Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare technical specifications, mapping documents, integration architecture diagrams, and support documentation.
• Maintain integration configuration, version control, and documentation repositories.
• Ensure compliance with integration standards, data security policies, and audit requirements.

6. Collaboration

• Work closely with SAP functional teams (MM, SD, FI, PP, HR, etc.) to understand workflow requirements.
• Coordinate with external vendors, partners, and application owners for integration solutions.
• Participate in cross-functional IT meetings for planning and solution design.
