Job Description

Position Overview:

The Banquet Sales Coordinator in a luxury resort is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing banquet, conference, wedding, corporate, and social events while ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients from inquiry to event completion, managing sales, event details, coordination with departments, and seamless service delivery aligned with luxury hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Handle banquet enquiries for day outs, rooms, weddings, corporate events, conferences, social gatherings, and special occasions.
  • Conduct site inspections and resort tours for prospective clients.
  • Prepare customized proposals, quotations, and contracts based on guest requirements.
  • Achieve banquet sales targets and maximize revenue through upselling resort services.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships for repeat business.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams for promotional campaigns and banquet packages.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a proactive attitude by willingly taking ownership of responsibilities beyond assigned duties when required, supporting overall resort operations, guest satisfaction, and event success with a team-first approach.

Event Planning & Coordination:

  • Plan event logistics including venue setup, menu planning, décor, entertainment, and technical requirements.
  • Prepare detailed event orders and communicate requirements to all departments.
  • Coordinate with kitchen, F&B service, housekeeping, front office, engineering, and vendors.
  • Ensure all event details are executed according to luxury brand standards.
  • Manage last-minute client requests professionally and efficiently.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Act as the main contact person for clients before, during, and after events.
  • Provide personalized service to VIP guests and high-profile clients.
  • Address guest concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Gather post-event feedback and maintain client records.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain banquet calendars, booking schedules, and event documentation.
  • Process invoices, deposits, and payment follow-ups.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasting, and event summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with resort policies and contractual agreements.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • 1–3 years of experience in banquet sales, event coordination, or luxury hospitality
  • Experience in weddings, and corporate event sales preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality operations
