Job Summary

We are looking for a highly analytical and business-oriented Business Intelligence & Data Analyst who can transform business data into meaningful insights and actionable strategies.

The candidate will be responsible for collecting, organizing and analysing data across sales, marketing, operations, finance and customer activities. The role will work closely with management to identify trends, measure performance, improve processes and support data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate should not only be comfortable working with data, but also have the ability to understand why the numbers are changing and what the business should do next.

Key Responsibilities

Business Intelligence & Reporting

Develop and maintain dashboards, MIS reports and management reports.

Track key business KPIs across sales, marketing, operations, finance and customer acquisition.

Convert raw business data into meaningful reports and visual dashboards.

Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reports for management.

Identify trends, patterns, anomalies and areas requiring management attention.

Develop automated reporting systems wherever possible.

Data Analysis

Collect, clean, validate and analyse data from multiple business sources.

Conduct sales, revenue, profitability and customer behaviour analysis.

Analyse lead generation, conversion rates, sales pipelines and customer acquisition costs.

Perform comparative and trend analysis to identify growth opportunities.

Analyse historical data and assist management with forecasting and business planning.

Identify underperforming products, markets, teams or business segments.

Sales & Marketing Analytics

Analyse leads generated through digital marketing, social media, campaigns, exhibitions, referrals and other channels.

Measure lead-to-enquiry and enquiry-to-sale conversion rates.

Evaluate marketing campaign performance and ROI.

Analyse customer acquisition cost and revenue generated through different marketing channels.

Identify high-performing customer segments, markets and sales channels.

Provide insights to improve sales productivity and marketing effectiveness.

Management & Strategic Support

Provide management with data-backed recommendations for business decisions.

Assist in preparing annual budgets, sales targets and business forecasts.

Develop management dashboards highlighting critical KPIs.

Identify revenue leakage, operational inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.

Conduct competitor, industry and market analysis when required.

Support management in evaluating new business opportunities and expansion strategies.

Technical Skills

Candidates should have working knowledge of:

Advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets

Power BI or Tableau

SQL

Data cleaning and data visualization

Dashboard development

MIS and automated reporting

Basic statistical and forecasting techniques

Knowledge of Python, CRM analytics, Google Analytics, Looker Studio and AI-based data analysis tools will be an added advantage.

Qualification

Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Engineering, MBA or a related discipline.

Candidates with relevant certifications in Power BI, SQL, Data Analytics or Business Analytics will be preferred.

Experience

Preferred: 1–4 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, MIS, Business Analytics or a similar role.

Exceptional freshers with strong analytical, Excel, Power BI and SQL skills may also be considered.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Performance will primarily be measured based on:

Accuracy and timeliness of management reports

Quality of dashboards and business insights

Identification of revenue and growth opportunities

Improvement in data visibility across departments

Effectiveness of sales and marketing analysis

Accuracy of forecasts and trend analysis

Automation and improvement of existing reporting processes

Quality of recommendations provided to management
