Purchase Executive

To lead and manage the end-to-end procurement of materials, services, and contracting activities for the Bahadurgarh Steel Service Centre. This role is pivotal in ensuring supply chain resilience and cost-efficiency to support our Auto Strategy foothold in the Indian market.

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators)

Procurement Efficiency: Ensuring 100% material and service availability for Service Centre operations.

Cost Optimization: Achieving targeted savings through strategic negotiations and vendor development.

Contract Compliance: Ensuring 100% adherence to organizational governance and legal contracting standards.

Inventory Management: Maintaining optimal stock levels to balance operational readiness with working capital efficiency.

Critical Tasks (Key Activities)

Execute the procurement of raw materials, spares, and consumables tailored to Service Centre requirements.

Manage the end-to-end contracting lifecycle, including vendor evaluation, commercial negotiations, and contract drafting.

Identify and onboard high-quality local and regional vendors to enhance the supply chain ecosystem.

Coordinate with plant production and logistics teams to integrate shipping schedules with material requirements.

Drive digital procurement initiatives and ensure process transparency through ERP/SAP systems.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience: 7–10 years of progressive experience in Procurement and Contracts Management.

Industry Background: Mandatory experience in the Automotive or Steel Manufacturing industry.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Any Engg. /Mechanical/Industrial preferred); MBA in Supply Chain is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

Expertise in strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, and industrial contracting.

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and digital procurement tools.

Strong stakeholder management skills with a "unidirectional" strategic mindset.
