SolidWorks Design Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented SolidWorks Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating 3D models, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation while collaborating with production and engineering teams to develop high-quality mechanical designs.

Key Responsibilities

Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings using SolidWorks.

Prepare manufacturing drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and technical documentation.

Design mechanical components and assemblies based on project requirements.

Coordinate with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility.

Review designs for manufacturability, cost optimization, and quality standards.

Maintain engineering documentation and revision records.

Support prototype development, testing, and design improvements.

Ensure compliance with company and industry design standards.

Required Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Proficiency in SolidWorks (Part Modeling, Assembly, Sheet Metal, and Drafting).

Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.

Knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

Experience in product design, machine design, or fabrication.

Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM management.

Basic knowledge of CNC machining, sheet metal, or fabrication processes.

Experience with rendering or simulation in SolidWorks is a plus.
