We are seeking an experienced, innovative, and hands-on Head of R&D to lead formulation development, product innovation, and commercialization across our growing portfolio of personal care, skin care, hair care, cosmetic, cosmeceutical, herbal, and Ayurvedic products.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Innovation

* Lead end-to-end product development from concept to commercialization.

* Develop innovative formulations across:

  * Skin Care

  * Hair Care

  * Personal Care

  * Men’s Grooming

  * Baby Care

  * Wellness & Therapeutic Care

  * Cosmeceuticals

  * Ayurvedic & Herbal Products

* Identify emerging global trends, active ingredients, botanical extracts, and formulation technologies.

* Build a robust innovation pipeline aligned with business growth objectives.

Formulation Development

* Develop and optimize formulations including:

  * Face Serums

  * Creams & Moisturizers

  * Face Washes & Cleansers

  * Sunscreens

  * Shampoos & Conditioners

  * Hair Oils & Hair Masks

  * Body Care Products

  * Specialty Treatment Products

* Work extensively with:

  * Ayurvedic Ingredients

  * Herbal Extracts

  * Natural Actives

  * Peptides

  * Ceramides

  * Vitamins

  * Pharmaceutical-Grade Actives

  * Advanced Delivery Systems

* Ensure product efficacy, safety, stability, and scalability.

R&D Leadership

* Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing formulation and product development team.

* Establish SOPs, formulation protocols, testing standards, and documentation systems.

* Drive a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.

Scale-Up & Manufacturing

* Lead pilot batches, validation trials, and commercial scale-up activities.

* Manage technology transfer from laboratory to manufacturing.

* Collaborate closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Procurement, and Marketing teams.

Regulatory & Compliance

* Ensure compliance with:

  * AYUSH Regulations

  * CDSCO Guidelines

  * BIS Standards

  * Domestic and International Cosmetic Regulations

* Review technical dossiers, specifications, stability studies, and regulatory documentation.

Strategic Leadership

* Drive long-term product innovation strategy.

* Develop proprietary formulations and support intellectual property creation.

* Build relationships with ingredient suppliers, research institutions, testing laboratories, and manufacturing partners.

Qualifications

* M.Pharm / B.Pharm

* MSc Chemistry / Cosmetic Science

* PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field (Preferred)

* Qualification or practical experience in Ayurveda will be an added advantage.

Experience

* 12–20+ years of experience in Personal Care, Skin Care, Hair Care, Cosmetics, Cosmeceuticals, Nutraceuticals, or Ayurvedic Product Development.

* Proven track record of developing and commercializing successful products.

* Experience working with premium, natural, herbal, Ayurvedic, science-based, or pharmaceutical-driven brands.

* Strong expertise in formulation development, stability studies, manufacturing scale-up, and commercialization.

* Expertise in emulsions, surfactant systems, active ingredients, preservatives, and delivery technologies.
