Job Summary:

The Commis-II (Continental) assists in the preparation and cooking of Continental cuisine, ensuring food quality, hygiene standards, and smooth kitchen operations. The role supports senior chefs and helps maintain consistency in taste and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing and cooking Continental dishes as per standard recipes

Support Commis-I and CDP in daily kitchen operations

Prepare mise-en-place for assigned sections

Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation standards

Follow hygiene, food safety, and HACCP guidelines at all times

Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and utensils

Assist in stock handling, storage, and minimizing wastage

Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff efficiently

Ensure timely service during operations

Skills & Competencies:

Basic knowledge of Continental cuisine

Understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety standards

Ability to work under pressure

Team player with a positive attitude

Willingness to learn and grow in the kitchen

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma / Certificate in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts (preferred)

1–2 years of experience in a Continental kitchen

Freshers with basic training may also be considered

Work Conditions:

Rotational shifts

Long standing hours

Fast-paced kitchen environment
