Job Description

We are looking for a Sales Manager / Business Development Manager who will take complete ownership of sales and business development for our ERP solutions designed for Fashion & Garment Retailers. This role is not limited to closing deals—it is about building predictable revenue, managing sales operations, and aligning market needs with our product roadmap.

The person will act as the bridge between the market, customers, sales team, and the product team, driving sustainable growth for the company.


Job Description

1. Sales Ownership & Revenue Growth

●     Own end-to-end sales responsibility: lead generation, qualification, demos, proposals, negotiation, and closures

●     Define and execute sales strategies aligned with company growth targets

●     Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline with realistic forecasting

●     Drive new customer acquisition and upselling/cross-selling to existing clients

2. Market Understanding & Positioning

●     Stay deeply connected with fashion retail trends, challenges, and compliance needs (inventory, GST, POS, omnichannel, RFID, analytics, etc.)

●     Gather structured feedback from prospects and customers and translate it into actionable insights for the product team

●     Position ERP solutions based on business value, not features

3. Team Leadership & Execution

●     Manage, mentor, and monitor sales executives and business development staff

●     Set targets, track performance, and conduct regular reviews

●     Build discipline in CRM usage, follow-ups, reporting, and sales hygiene

4. Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

●     Conduct high-impact product demos and presentations for decision-makers (owners, CFOs, operations heads)

●     Build long-term relationships with key customers and partners

●     Handle escalations during sales cycles and ensure smooth handover to implementation/support teams

5. Process & Business Operations

●     Establish and improve sales processes, pricing strategies, and proposal standards

●     Collaborate with marketing for campaigns, lead nurturing, and brand positioning

Prepare MIS reports on sales performance, pipeline health, and conversion ratios

Educational Requirement

  1. Graduate in Business, Management, IT, or related field
  2. MBA (Sales/Marketing) preferred, but real-world experience matters more

Work Experience

  1. 5–7 years of experience in B2B software / ERP / SaaS sales
  2. Mandatory experience selling to Retailers (Fashion/Garments preferred)
  3. Proven track record of closing mid-to-large value deals
  4. Prior experience managing a sales team is essential
