An admissions counselor recruits prospective students, evaluates applications, guides applicants through the admissions process, and represents the institution at outreach events, typically requiring a bachelor’s degree and strong communication skills.Overview Admissions counselors support colleges and universities by attracting, advising, and enrolling qualified students. They manage recruitment territories, evaluate applications, and maintain relationships with schools and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit students through high school visits, college fairs, and community events.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students and families.
• Conduct presentations, campus tours, interviews, and information sessions.
• Evaluate applications, transcripts, and supporting documents.
• Maintain accurate records in admissions systems and CRM platforms.
• Advise students on admissions requirements, financial aid, and academic programs.
• Collaborate with academic departments and support enrollment initiatives.
