Embedded Software Engineer

Firmware Development: Design, code, and debug low-level embedded software and drivers using Embedded C for microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex, ESP32, STM32, or similar).

Scripting & Automation: Utilize Python to develop internal tools, automate hardware testing, parse data logs, and interface with embedded systems via serial/network protocols.

Hardware Interfacing: Write and optimize protocols for communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and USB.

Testing & Debugging: Diagnose and resolve hardware/software integration issues using lab equipment like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.

System Architecture: Participate in code reviews, system architecture design, and define software-to-hardware interfaces.

Lifecycle Management: Maintain documentation for software design, testing procedures, and version control using Git.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

Embedded C Expertise: Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for resource-constrained environments (managing memory, interrupts, and registers).

Python Proficiency: Solid experience writing Python scripts for automation, testing frameworks (like PyTest), or data analysis.

Hardware Architecture: Good understanding of microcontroller/microprocessor architectures, peripherals, and datasheets.

RTOS & Bare-Metal: Experience working with Bare-metal development or Real-Time Operating Systems (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr).

Version Control: Proficiency with Git or similar source control tools.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with Linux-based embedded systems (e.g., Raspberry Pi).

Familiarity with wireless protocols (BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa).

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems.
