Design Engineer

Job Title: CNC Gas Cutting Operator

Job Description:

• Operate CNC gas cutting (oxy-fuel/plasma) machines to cut metal plates according to engineering drawings and production requirements.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, nesting layouts, and work orders.
• Set up the machine by loading CNC programs and selecting the correct cutting parameters.
• Ensure accurate dimensions and high-quality cuts while minimizing material waste.
• Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as measuring tapes, vernier calipers, and gauges.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, nozzle cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor gas pressure, cutting speed, and machine performance throughout the cutting process.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety procedures while handling gases and equipment.
• Record production details and report any machine faults or quality issues to the supervisor.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure jobs are completed on schedule.
