Job Description
- Job Title: Design Engineer / DraftsmanJob Responsibilities:Prepare 2D drawings in AutoCAD and 3D models in SolidWorks for new and existing products.
- Develop drawings and models for customer orders, special requirements and new product development.
- Perform reverse engineering activities by measuring existing samples/components and preparing manufacturing drawings.
- Prepare manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings and BOM as required.
- Modify and update existing drawings based on production, quality or customer requirements.
- Maintain design documents, drawing revisions and records as per ISO documentation requirements.
- Support production, machining and quality teams for drawing clarification and technical requirements.
- Maintain proper records of new product development (NPD), design changes and revision history.
- Coordinate with production and sales teams for technical support and product development activities.
- Ensure drawings are released with proper dimensions, tolerances and material specifications.
- Required Skills:Knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Ability to prepare 2D and 3D drawings for mechanical components.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, turning, milling and drilling.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
- Experience in instrumentation fittings, valves, manifolds, tube fittings or similar industries will be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of ISO documentation and drawing control systems.
- Qualification:ITI Draftsman / Diploma Mechanical / BE Mechanical.
- Freshers with good SolidWorks and AutoCAD knowledge can also apply.
- Experience of 1-3 years in design, drafting or product development preferred.
