Blade Materials Engineer

Specialist - Blade Transport & Handling

Your Tasks:

• Analyse Transport & handling drawings and suitability of transport accessories blade specific
• Conduct load measurement campaigns to capture real time load cases
• Liaise with core engineering, logistics and project managers
• Define allowable loads blade specific for transport & handling
• Perform the DFMEA/PFMEA exercise specific for mode of transport and blade type
• Secure frame connections/components with trailer bed and assess load conditions
• Review drawing updates and handling procedure including frame position

Your Profile:

• 7-10 year’s experience in transport handling or similar role in the wind or composites industry
• Advantage (not a must):
• Experience in conducting measurement campaigns
• Familiar with wind blade drawings and standards (IMO-DNV GL)
