Skilled Electrician – Smart Home Automation

About the Role

Nakshatra Automation is looking for a Skilled Electrician to join our project execution team.

The role involves installation and pre-commissioning of smart home automation, electrical control and low-voltage systems at residential and commercial project sites.

This is a hands-on field role for someone who enjoys technical installation, troubleshooting and learning new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Install and troubleshoot smart switches, automation modules, relays and control devices.

• Carry out electrical and control wiring modifications required for automation installations.
• Install sensors, CCTV, video door phones and other smart-building devices.
• Handle network cabling, RJ45 termination and basic networking-related installation work.
• Install and dress control panels, racks and equipment neatly.
• Perform device testing and pre-commissioning checks.
• Identify installation faults and carry out minor corrections/rework independently.
• Read basic electrical/wiring drawings and follow project documentation.
• Maintain proper workmanship, safety and site cleanliness.
• Complete installation checklists and provide site photographs/documentation.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager and Commissioning Engineer during project execution.
• Travel to project sites across Tamil Nadu when required.
• RequirementsITI Electrician / Wireman / Electronics-related qualification preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant electrical installation experience.
• Good understanding of electrical wiring and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to use a multimeter and basic electrical tools.
• Experience with switchboard installation, cable termination and control wiring.
• Ability to understand basic wiring diagrams.
• Willingness to learn smart home and building automation technology.
• Good workmanship and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently at project sites.
• Willingness to travel and stay at project sites across Tamil Nadu for several days when required.

This is not a conventional house-wiring electrician job.

We are looking for someone who wants to develop into a technical installation and automation professional.

Candidates must be comfortable with project-site work and travel across Tamil Nadu.
