Shift Supervisor

At Amadora Gourmet Ice Cream (an artisanal F&B and QSR brand), store-level management roles—such as Team Manager, Store Manager, or Shift Leader—span operational efficiency, product quality control, customer service, and staff leadership.

• ​1. Shift Operations & Floor Leadership​Shift Ownership: Take full ownership of daily store operations during assigned shifts, leading floor activities and maintaining staff discipline.

• ​Shift Opening & Closing: Manage daily opening/closing procedures, cash registers, drawer balancing, POS reconciliation, and financial shift reporting.

• ​Workflow Optimization: Direct counter service, table service (where applicable), and order packing during peak hours to minimize customer wait times.
• ​2. Team Leadership & Roster Management​Staff Scheduling: Prepare weekly work rosters and deploy staff efficiently based on footfall trends and busy operational windows.

• ​Training & Onboarding: Train new counter staff and scoopers on product knowledge (flavors, ingredients, allergen warnings), scoop size control, and customer service etiquette.

• ​Performance Supervision: Monitor staff attendance, grooming, efficiency, and adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• ​3. Inventory, Stock & Cold-Chain Management​Stock Monitoring & Replenishment: Track daily inventory levels of ice cream tubs, waffle cones, toppings, and packaging material; place orders with central production kitchens to prevent stockouts.
• ​Cold-Chain Maintenance: Regularly monitor freezer temperatures and maintain temperature logs to preserve product texture, freshness, and quality.
• ​Waste & Yield Control: Track waste, monitor portion sizes, and minimize spillage or shrinkage.
• ​4. Customer Service & Hospitality​Guest Engagement: Ensure high-touch customer interaction, including flavor tastings and recommendations.

• ​Issue Resolution: Handle guest feedback, refund requests, or service complaints promptly and professionally.
• ​Brand Representation: Uphold Amadora’s gourmet, premium brand image through staff courtesy and detailed product knowledge.

• ​5. Hygiene, Quality Control & Compliance​Store Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of hygiene across display freezers, preparation counters, seating areas, and storage spaces.

• ​Food Safety Standards: Enforce strict health, safety, and hygiene practices (e.g., proper glove usage, sanitization schedules, hair restraint policies).

• ​Audit Preparation: Maintain store documentation for surprise food safety audits, brand quality checks, and local municipal health compliance.
