Job Summary

Murugan Idli is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Operations Manager to oversee multiple restaurant branches, drive operational performance, maintain service and food quality standards, and ensure profitability across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the daily operations of multiple restaurant branches.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, operational standards, food safety, and hygiene requirements.
• Monitor branch sales, profitability, food costs, labour costs, wastage, and operating expenses.
• Guide and evaluate Branch Managers, Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and operational teams.
• Conduct regular branch visits, operational reviews, and performance audits.
• Develop action plans to improve sales, customer satisfaction, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure effective manpower planning, attendance management, employee discipline, and training.
• Monitor inventory, stock movement, food consumption, and material wastage.
• Handle escalated customer complaints and implement corrective measures.
• Coordinate with HR, Purchase, Warehouse, Finance, and Accounts teams.
• Review branch performance reports, sales MIS, audit findings, and operational KPIs.
• Support new branch openings, operational improvements, and implementation of management decisions.

Required Qualifications & Experience         

• Graduate in any discipline; a degree or diploma in Hotel Management is preferred.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in restaurant or hospitality operations, including multi-branch management.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, food cost control, inventory, service standards, and profitability.
• Proven ability to lead Branch Managers and drive business performance.
• Strong analytical, communication, decision-making, and people-management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, operational MIS, and POS/ERP systems.
