Title: Branch Loan Officer - Gold Loan 

Location: Chennai (Chromepet)

Education: Graduation in any discipline (B.Com / BBA / BA preferred , Diploma or certificate in gemology or gold  is an added advantage )

Experience: Min 1 - 5 yrs of exp in Gold Appraisal, Valuation, Cash and vault handling

About the Role: We are looking for experienced Branch Loan Officers with a strong background in gold loan operations to join our NBFC branch network. This is a branch-based, walk-in conversion role — you will NOT be required to self-source business targets. Your focus is entirely on customer service excellence, gold assessment, and loan processing. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and assist customer walk-ins at the branch for gold loan inquiries and applications 
• Conduct gold purity assessment and assaying using fire assay, karat meter, and acid testing methods 
• Evaluate gold ornaments for weight, purity, and applicable loan-to-value (LTV) as per RBI guidelines 
• Process loan applications routed to the branch by Loan Managers (LMs), ensuring end-to-end documentation and disbursement 
• Verify customer KYC documents and maintain compliance with internal and regulatory norms 
• Coordinate with LMs and branch operations for smooth loan processing and turnaround 
• Ensure accurate gold storage, tagging, and custodianship as per SOPs 
• Maintain zero deviation from audit and compliance requirements during all gold handling activities 
• Deliver a superior customer experience at the branch, ensuring resolution of queries and concerns 

Requirement: 

• 1 - 5 years of experience in gold loan operations at a bank, NBFC, or gold loan company 
• Hands-on experience in gold assaying — fire assay, karat meter testing, and acid testing 
• Prior experience working in a branch model (not DSA/field sales) 
• Knowledge of RBI LTV norms, KYC/AML compliance, and gold loan documentation 
• Ability to handle branch-level loan processing independently 

Good to Have:

• Experience from gold loan institutions 
• Familiarity with CBS/LOS platforms used in gold loan disbursement 
• Understanding of auction proceedings and overdue management for gold loans
