Loader/Unloader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Loader/Unloader to join our warehouse team. The Loader/Unloader will be responsible for the efficient loading and unloading of goods and materials from trucks and containers, ensuring that all items are handled safely and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading Duties:
• Load products onto trucks and containers according to proper loading procedures, ensuring safe and secure transport.
• Use appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) to move materials and products as needed.
• Verify and inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Unloading Duties:
• Unload products from trucks and containers, checking quantities and quality against shipping documentation.
• Sort items in the warehouse and place them in designated areas as per company procedures.
• Maintain organized and clean workspaces, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Documentation:
• Complete and maintain accurate records of loading and unloading activities, including inventory counts and discrepancies.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding any issues or concerns with shipments.
• Safety Practices:
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent injuries and accidents in the workplace.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to a supervisor promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) preferred; certification may be required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
