Job Description – Incoming Quality Inspector (IQC)Industry: Hydraulic Pump Manufacturing

Department: Quality Control / Quality Assurance

Job Title: Incoming Quality Inspector

• Job ResponsibilitiesInspect incoming raw materials, mechanical components, and purchased parts received from suppliers.
• Check hydraulic pump components such as shafts, pistons, seals, bearings, valves, and machined parts.
• Verify component dimensions using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring instruments.
• Check components against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Verify supplier inspection reports, material certificates, and other quality documents.
• Identify defective, damaged, or out-of-specification materials and report them to the Quality Engineer.
• Prepare incoming inspection reports and maintain inspection records.
• Segregate rejected materials and coordinate with the purchase and stores departments.
• Support supplier quality issues and corrective action activities.
• Follow quality procedures, safety requirements, and 5S practices.
• Required SkillsBasic knowledge of mechanical components and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
• Basic understanding of dimensional inspection and quality control.
• Attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulic components is an added advantage.

QualificationITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical qualification.

ExperienceFreshers or experienced candidates, depending on company requirements.
