Job Description

The HR Coordinator will manage day-to-day HR operations with a heavy focus on high-volume recruitment, strict attendance monitoring, and shopfloor manpower optimization. This role requires a proactive professional who can seamlessly bridge the gap between administrative compliance and active shopfloor management to minimize absenteeism and ensure uninterrupted production.

  • Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Interview Scheduling Manpower Planning: Partner with production supervisors and shopfloor managers to assess daily, weekly, and seasonal manpower requirements.
  • Sourcing & Pipeline: Source candidates for both staff positions and blue-collar/shopfloor operators (permanent and contractual).
  • Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate technical and HR interviews, ensuring a smooth candidate experience and quick turnaround times.
  • 2. Onboarding & Document CollectionNew Joiner Verification: Collect, verify, and maintain all mandatory statutory documents from new hires (ID proofs, address proofs, previous employment certificates, bank details, and medical fitness certificates).
  • Background Checks: Initiate and monitor background verification processes as per company policy.
  • Joining Follow-up: Maintain regular touchpoints with selected candidates from the time of offer acceptance until their actual joining date to minimize dropouts.
  • Induction: Conduct HR orientation, plant safety briefing coordination, and introduce new hires to company policies.
  • 3. Attendance Monitoring & Absenteeism ControlDaily Monitoring: Oversee the biometric/punch-in attendance system daily to track staff and shopfloor worker attendance.
  • Absenteeism Control: Identify daily absentees early in the shift, investigate root causes, and implement strict disciplinary or corrective actions to control chronic absenteeism.
  • Leave Management: Maintain accurate records of casual, sick, and earned leaves, ensuring compliance with factory standing orders.
  • 4. Shopfloor Manpower & Shift ArrangementShift Deployment: Assist shopfloor supervisors in daily shift scheduling and line balancing to ensure critical production lines are never short-staffed.
  • Contractor Coordination: Liaise with third-party manpower vendors/contractors to arrange immediate replacements for absent workers.
  • Grievance Handling: Spend time on the shopfloor to address worker grievances, maintain morale, and foster a healthy labor-management relationship.
