Job Description – B-License & C-License Electrician

Position

Electrician – B-License / C-License

Job Summary We are looking for qualified and experienced electricians holding

B-License or C-License to carry out electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair work. The electrician will ensure all electrical systems are operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable electrical standards and regulations.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical installation, wiring, termination, and maintenance work.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
• Install and maintain electrical panels, DBs, MCCs, cables, lighting, sockets, motors, and related equipment.
• Carry out preventive and corrective electrical maintenance.
• Identify electrical faults and perform troubleshooting and repairs.
• Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance, and other electrical tests.
• Ensure proper cable sizing, termination, earthing, and protection.
• Follow electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements, and permit-to-work systems.
• Maintain electrical tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Record maintenance activities, test results, and defects.
• Coordinate with supervisors, technicians, contractors, and other departments.
• Ensure all work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
• Respond to electrical breakdowns and emergencies when required.
• B-License Electrician – Additional ResponsibilitiesHandle higher-level electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities within the scope permitted by the B-License.
• Supervise and guide C-License electricians and electrical helpers where required.
• Verify electrical work, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Support electrical inspections and compliance requirements.
• Take responsibility for safe execution of assigned electrical works.
• C-License Electrician – ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical installation and maintenance activities within the scope permitted by the C-License.
• Assist B-License electricians with testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Carry out routine inspections and identify electrical defects.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and electrical safety at the workplace.
• Qualification & ExperienceValid

B-License or C-License electrical qualification/license as applicable.

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Relevant experience in industrial, commercial, residential, construction, or facility electrical work.
• Good knowledge of electrical safety practices and basic electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Physically fit and willing to work shifts/overtime when required.
• Required SkillsElectrical troubleshooting and fault finding.
• Cable termination and electrical panel work.
• Preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical tools and testing instruments.
• Safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

License Requirement

B-License: Valid B-License electrician certification/authorization as applicable.

C-License: Valid C-License electrician certification/authorization as applicable.
