Job Description

Core Roles & Responsibilities

1. Market Research & Strategy

  • Analyze Markets: Research industry trends, competitor activities, and economic shifts to identify new, profitable market segments.
  • Identify Opportunities: Pinpoint gaps in the market where the company’s products or services can provide viable solutions. [1, 2, 3, 4]

2. Lead Generation & Outreach

  • Prospecting: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients using cold calling, email campaigns, and networking platforms like LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Qualifying Leads: Assess potential leads to determine their viability, budget, and exact needs before passing them to the sales team. [1, 2, 3, 4]

3. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management


  • Pitching: Create and deliver customized proposals, pitch decks, and presentations that clearly articulate the company's value proposition.
  • Relationship Building: Establish long-term, trusting relationships with prospects, key decision-makers, and partners.
  • Account Growth: Work with existing clients to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling new products or features. [1, 2, 3, 4]

4. Negotiation & Deal Closure


  • Contract Negotiations: Lead or assist in price discussions, contract terms, and deliverables to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration


  • Marketing Alignment: Work closely with the marketing team to align outreach messaging, develop sales collateral, and capitalize on promotional campaigns. [1, 2]
  • Product/Service Feedback: Relay authentic customer feedback and feature requests to internal product or service teams to ensure offerings exceed expectations. [1, 2]

6. Reporting & Tracking


  • CRM Management: Log all client interactions, lead statuses, and deal progress using CRM platforms like HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Metric Monitoring: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as qualified meetings set, pipeline value, and monthly closed deals to report to senior management. [1, 2]
