About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and target-driven Assistant Sales Manager to support our sales leadership in driving revenue growth, managing the sales team, and expanding our customer base. You will play a key role in executing sales strategies, mentoring the team, and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution

Support the Sales Manager in planning and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets

Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance against set goals

Identify new business opportunities, untapped markets, and potential clients

Prepare and present sales forecasts, pipelines, and performance reports to leadership

Ensure consistent achievement of individual and team sales targets

Analyze market trends and customer needs to refine sales approach

Team Management & Leadership

Supervise, guide, coach, and motivate the front-line sales team

Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and one-on-one coaching sessions

Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new sales representatives

Set clear KPIs for team members and track progress regularly

Resolve team conflicts and maintain a high-performance work culture

Recognize top performers and address underperformance constructively

Client Relationship Management

Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients and accounts

Handle escalated client concerns and ensure timely and satisfactory resolution

Conduct client visits, product demonstrations, and presentations as needed

Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term retention

Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts

Develop account plans for key clients to maximize revenue potential

Sales Operations & Reporting

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system (Salesforce, Zoho CRM, HubSpot, etc.)

Track leads, opportunities, and deal closures across the entire sales funnel

Analyze sales data to identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for senior leadership

Coordinate with marketing, operations, logistics, and finance for seamless sales execution

Manage sales budgets, expense tracking, and territory planning

Training & Development

Conduct product knowledge and sales skill training sessions for the team

Share best practices, winning strategies, and market insights with team members

Keep the team updated on competitor activities, pricing, and industry trends

Support team members in closing high-value or complex deals

Organize role-play sessions, pitch practice, and objection-handling workshops

Market Expansion & Business Development

Identify and develop new sales channels — direct, dealer, distributor, or online

Participate in industry events, trade fairs, and networking opportunities

Develop proposals, presentations, and pitches for new business opportunities

Build a strong referral network through existing client relationships

Monitor competitor strategies and recommend counter-measures
