Advance Feasibility Engineer

As a member of the GVPE / GVFPI department, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between product design and manufacturing execution. This position focuses on the strategic planning of final assembly processes, maintaining global standards, and conducting advanced feasibility assessments. You will evaluate project compatibility with future designs, manage investment efficiency, and oversee the technical requirements for complex tooling and automation. Your expertise will ensure that manufacturing processes are optimized for cost, quality, and ergonomic safety before reaching the plant floor.

 

Responsibilities

  • Standards & Maintenance: Create, maintain, and update Global Manufacturing Requirement standards (GMR), Global Standard Cells, and Health Chart mapping.
  • Project Leadership: Lead new or updated BoD / BoP standard projects and manage VOSS standards related to chassis and powertrain.
  • Advanced Feasibility: Perform DPA5 checks, identify part/process issues, and support virtual build sequences as CAD matures.
  • Process Documentation: Create and update program-specific process sheets, PFMEAs, and support SCCAF development and sign-off.
  • Tooling & Equipment: Define requirements for DC/pneumatic tooling, fixtured tooling, lift assists, and major automation needs; develop SOWs for tooling design and build.

     

Qualification

  • Education: B.E. or Diploma in Engineering.
  • Experience: 8-10 years of experience in the automotive industry or an equivalent field.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Mandatory expertise in CAD tools, specifically AutoCAD and NX CAD.
    • Strong understanding of Final Assembly CAD drawings and GD&T skills.
    • Proficiency in Teamcenter, SOW development, and process writing (VPS & VET).
  • Domain Knowledge: Previous experience with DPA5 and Final Assembly plant operations (VOME) is highly preferred.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Proven leadership as a self-starter and team player.
    • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
    • A "find a way" attitude with strong project planning and implementation capabilities.
