Administration Officer for

Higher Secondary School – Chennai

Job Title: Administration Officer

Location: Mannady ,Chennai


Job Summary

The Administration Officer is responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of the higher secondary school. The role ensures smooth coordination between academic and non-academic departments, maintains compliance with education regulations, and supports efficient school operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. School Administration & Operations


Supervise daily administrative activities of the school.


Coordinate with teaching staff, transport, security, housekeeping, and maintenance teams.

Ensure smooth functioning of classrooms, laboratories, offices, and campus facilities.

Monitor attendance, punctuality, and discipline procedures.



2. Compliance & Documentation



Maintain records related to CBSE/State Board norms and statutory requirements.



Coordinate inspections, audits, and government documentation.



Ensure compliance with fire safety, health, and education department regulations.



3. Staff & Vendor Coordination



Manage administrative staff and support personnel.

Coordinate with vendors for school supplies, maintenance, and transport services.

Monitor AMC contracts and facility maintenance schedules.



4. Parent & Student Support

Handle parent queries and administrative communication.

Support admission processes and student records management.

Coordinate circulars, notices, and official correspondence.



5. Event & Examination Support

Assist in organizing school events, annual functions, meetings, and examinations

Ensure logistics arrangements including seating, transport, materials, and security.



6. Records & Reporting

Maintain asset registers, inventory, and office documentation.

Prepare administrative reports for management.

Manage filing systems and ERP/software records.



Required Qualifications


Any degree


MBA or Diploma in Administration preferred.



Minimum 3–5 years experience in school administration or educational institutions preferred.


Required Skill


Strong organizational and leadership skills


Good communication in English and Tamil

Knowledge of MS Office and school ERP systems



Problem-solving and multitasking abilities

Knowledge of school compliance and operational procedures



Salary Range (Chennai)



₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month depending on experience and institution type.
