Jewellery Showroom Manager

Job Summary

The Jewellery Showroom Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the showroom, driving sales performance, managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining inventory accuracy, and achieving business objectives while upholding the brand's standards and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve showroom sales and profitability targets.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention initiatives.
  • Promote high-value jewellery collections and special campaigns.

Team Management

  • Lead, motivate, and supervise showroom staff.
  • Set performance goals and monitor employee productivity.
  • Conduct training programs on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
  • Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment.

Customer Service

  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience at all touchpoints.
  • Handle customer escalations and resolve complaints effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with VIP and repeat customers.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvement measures.

Inventory & Operations Management

  • Oversee stock management and inventory control.
  • Ensure accurate stock reconciliation and periodic audits.
  • Monitor movement of gold, diamond, silver, and gemstone jewellery.
  • Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams for stock replenishment.
  • Ensure proper product display and visual merchandising standards.

Financial & Compliance Management

  • Monitor showroom expenses and profitability.
  • Ensure accurate billing, cash handling, and banking procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal auditors and management during inspections.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and loss-prevention measures.

Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare and submit sales, inventory, and operational reports.
  • Analyze business trends and recommend improvement strategies.
  • Maintain employee and customer records.
  • Coordinate with senior management on business performance and showroom requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
  • MBA is an added advantage.

Experience

  • 5–10 years of retail sales experience.
  • Minimum 2–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in jewellery retail.

Required Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent sales and business development skills.
  • Strong customer relationship management.
  • Knowledge of jewellery products, gemstones, diamonds, and precious metals.
  • Inventory and stock control expertise.
  • Financial acumen and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and retail management software.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time retail showroom environment.
  • Availability to work weekends, festivals, and peak sales periods.
  • May require travel between branches or for business meetings.
