Retail Store Manager

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Performance

• Achieve monthly sales targets and profitability goals.
• Lead the team to maximize conversion, average bill value and units per bill.
• Monitor daily sales performance and implement action plans to improve results.
• Drive cross-selling and upselling across all product categories.
• Ensure every customer receives exceptional service.

Team Leadership

• Lead, motivate and coach the sales team.
• Conduct daily team briefings before store opening.
• Allocate sales targets and responsibilities.
• Monitor staff performance and productivity.
• Train new employees on products, customer service and SOPs.
• Prepare staff duty rosters and manage attendance.

Store Operations

• Ensure the store opens and closes on time.
• Maintain cleanliness, lighting, music and visual merchandising standards.
• Ensure all products are correctly displayed, tagged and replenished.
• Supervise cash handling and daily billing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all company SOPs.

Inventory Management

• Oversee stock receiving and verification.
• Ensure accurate inventory records.
• Conduct weekly and monthly stock counts.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and report variances.
• Authorise stock transfers between branches.
• Ensure all products have correct SKUs, barcodes and pricing.

Bridal Rental Operations

• Oversee bridal jewellery bookings and returns.
• Verify condition of rental jewellery before issue and after return.
• Ensure deposits, rental agreements and damage charges are correctly processed.
• Monitor utilisation of bridal inventory.

Customer Experience

• Resolve customer complaints professionally.
• Build relationships with repeat customers.
• Ensure customers are greeted promptly and assisted throughout their visit.
• Encourage Google Reviews and customer referrals.
• Maintain a high standard of hospitality within the store.

Administration

• Prepare daily sales and collection reports.
• Monitor store expenses and petty cash.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers.
• Maintain employee records and attendance.
• Submit weekly business performance reports to management.
