Remote Accessibility & PSES System Maintenance Engineer

Location:       Bengaluru / Field Sites across Karnataka (KPTCL Substations)

Role Overview:

This role involves maintaining and supporting Remote Accessibility System (Automatic Disturbance Record Collection System) deployed across 144 substations under KPTCL. The system integrates SYNC3000 / SYNC2000 devices, network switches, and protection relays with a Linux-based Control Centre running PSES – Power Station Enterprise Suite for centralized data collection, disturbance record management, and relay configuration tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of SYNC3000/2000 systems in substations.
• Monitor and maintain communication links between relays, network switches, and servers.
• Operate and support the Linux-based PSES control centre for DR data collection.
• Coordinate with field and control teams to resolve configuration or connectivity issues.
• Maintain records of relay firmware, configuration tools, and substation data logs.

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering.
• 0–1 year of experience (freshers encouraged).
• Basic understanding of protection relays, IP networking, and Linux systems.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel to field substations across Karnataka.
