Job Summary

We are seeking a Procurement & Sourcing Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing electronic components, negotiating with suppliers, managing procurement activities, ensuring timely material availability, and optimizing procurement costs while maintaining quality and delivery performance

Key Responsibilities

• Source electronic components, PCBs, electromechanical parts, cables, connectors, sheet metal, and other EMS-related materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable domestic and international suppliers.
• Float RFQs, compare quotations, negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely procurement of materials.
• Coordinate with Production Planning, Stores, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Monitor supplier performance with respect to quality, delivery, and cost.
• Develop alternate sources to mitigate supply chain risks and component shortages.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels while avoiding excess or obsolete stock.
• Work closely with vendors to resolve delivery, quality, and technical issues.
• Track market trends, component availability, and pricing fluctuations.
• Ensure procurement complies with company policies and customer requirements.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and MIS reports.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by sourcing new components and suppliers

Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years of procurement/sourcing experience in an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components such as ICs, resistors, capacitors, connectors, relays, transformers, semiconductors, PCBs, and cable assemblies.
• Experience in vendor development, supplier negotiation, and cost optimization.
• Familiarity with BOM analysis, AVL (Approved Vendor List), and component lifecycle management.
• Understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Good knowledge of Incoterms, import procurement, and logistics is an added advantage.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting.

Educational Qualification (Mandatory)

• Diploma or BE in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (E&I).

Preferred Experience

• Experience in sourcing for SMT, PCBA, Box Build, and electronic manufacturing.
• Knowledge of global electronic component distributors and OEM/ODM supply chains.
• Exposure to RoHS, REACH, and component compliance requirements.
• Experience handling critical component shortages and alternate sourcing
