Job Description
- Operate the Laser Cutting Machine for cutting stainless-steel sheets/coils into circular blanks as per production requirements.
- Set up the machine and load the required cutting programs based on product specifications.
- Read and understand technical drawings, cutting layouts, and dimensions.
- Ensure the correct selection of material thickness, grade, and cutting parameters.
- Monitor the cutting process and ensure proper cutting quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Check the finished circular blanks for size, shape, edge quality, and defects.
- Minimize material wastage and ensure optimum utilization of stainless-steel coils/sheets.
- Identify and report machine abnormalities, breakdowns, and technical issues to the concerned supervisor or maintenance team.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Maintain production records, material consumption details, and rejection reports.
- Follow safety procedures while handling stainless-steel materials and operating the laser cutting machine.
- Coordinate with the production team to achieve daily production targets.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and follow 5S practices.
