Sales Officer – B2B Specialty Chemicals
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Officer to join our sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets across our assigned regions.
Location
- Chennai
- Pondicherry
- Regional travel required across assigned territories
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities in the assigned region
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline for specialty chemicals products
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients and key decision-makers
- Conduct product presentations and technical demos to prospective clients
Client Management
- Manage existing client accounts and ensure customer satisfaction
- Address client queries, concerns, and requirements promptly
- Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and sales documentation
- Coordinate with internal teams (technical, operations) to fulfill client requirements
- Track client feedback and communicate market insights to management
Field Operations
- Travel across assigned region to meet clients and prospects
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis
- Gather market intelligence and report on industry trends
- Maintain accurate sales records and CRM data
- Submit regular progress reports and sales forecasts
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience in B2B sales
- Preferred: Background in specialty chemicals sales or chemical industry
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience in field sales and client relationship management
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic knowledge of CRM tools is a plus
- Willingness to travel within assigned region
Education
- Bachelor's degree in any stream (preferred)
- Diploma holders with relevant experience may also apply
