Senior Engineer - Rear Axle and Power Steering Systems

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Design & Development of Rear axle, Front axle.
2. Knowledge of Hypoid & bevel gears microgeometry, powertrain NVH etc.
3. Sound knowledge of GD&T & Tolerance stack up
4. Should be knowledgeable to do the packaging of Axle components in DMU.
5. Proficient in Excel, power point, MS office tools etc.
6. Internal & External stake holder management – work experience in CFT.
7. Analyze CAN data
8. Knowledge of cad modelling and drafting on UGNX, Catia V5, managing the part life cycle using Teamcenter, 3DX would be added advantage.
9. Gear software knowledge like Kimos, Romax, Kis soft etc.
10. DFMEA / DFM / DFS / DFA / GD&T / Tolerance stack up analysis.
11. Identifying vehicles level and component level DVP requirements.
12. Failure mode & Effect Analysis
13. Calculations & Knowledge of Axle system. Knowledge of CVJ half shafts & driveline components would be added advantage
14. Root cause analysis (Diagnosis) and issue resolution providing Engineering solutions for validation/Field issues.
15. Effective management of data by using PLM (Teamcenter).
