Welder – Fire Fighting Work Job RoleA Welder – Fire Fighting Work is responsible for fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance of metal piping and supports used in fire-fighting systems.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Welding and fabrication of MS/GI fire-fighting pipelines and supports.
• Installation and modification of fire hydrant and sprinkler piping.
• Cutting, grinding, fitting, and welding of pipes and structural supports.
• Fabrication of pipe clamps, brackets, supports, frames, and other required items.
• Repair of damaged or leaking fire-fighting pipelines.
• Carrying out welding work as per approved drawings and site instructions.
• Assisting technicians/engineers during installation and maintenance of fire pumps, hydrants, valves, and piping systems.
• Maintaining proper alignment, level, and joint quality of pipelines.
• Following all fire safety, electrical safety, PPE, and hot-work safety procedures.
• Maintaining welding machines, gas cutting equipment, tools, and accessories.
• Supporting testing, commissioning, and rectification work of fire-fighting systems.
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety at the work site.

Required Skills:

• MIG/ARC welding knowledge preferred.
• Gas cutting and pipe fabrication skills.
• Ability to read basic drawings and measurements.
• Knowledge of MS/GI pipe fitting and fabrication.
• Experience in fire-fighting, plumbing, or industrial piping work preferred.
• Ability to work at height and at different project sites.
• Good teamwork and discipline.
