Job Description

Responsible for safe and timely driving of Tata Ace vehicle for transportation and delivery of modular furniture, interior materials, tools, equipment and other company goods between the factory, showroom, office, project sites, vendors and customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drive the Tata Ace safely and responsibly as per assigned routes and schedules.

2.Transport modular furniture, panels, hardware, tools and other materials from factory to project/site/customer locations.

3. Assist in loading and unloading materials and ensure proper handling to avoid damage.

4. Ensure timely delivery and obtain delivery acknowledgement/signature wherever required.

5. Maintain the vehicle in clean and good working condition.

6. Conduct daily basic checks of fuel, tyres, brakes, lights, engine oil and other essential items.

7.  Immediately report vehicle breakdown, accident, damage, maintenance requirement or any unusual issue to the reporting authority.

8. Maintain proper records of trips, fuel, kilometres, delivery locations and vehicle-related expenses as instructed.

9. Follow traffic rules, company safety procedures and applicable transport regulations at all times.

10. Ensure that the vehicle is not overloaded and that materials are properly secured during transportation.

11. Support site/factory teams in shifting and positioning materials when required.

12. Maintain professional behaviour with customers, vendors, site personnel and company employees.

13. Do not use the company vehicle for personal purposes without prior approval.

14. Perform any other transportation/logistics-related duties assigned by the Reporting Head/Management.

Job Specification

Education:

·        Minimum 8th / 10th pass preferred.

Experience:

·        Minimum 2–5 years of experience as Tata Ace / Light Commercial Vehicle Driver preferred.

Driving Licence:

·        Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being driven.

·        Should have good knowledge of Bhubaneswar and nearby areas.

Working Requirement:

May be required to work at factory, showroom, customer locations and project sites as per business requirements, including occasional extended hours when deliveries or site requirements demand.

Salary: As per company norms and candidate's experience.
