Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced professional with end-to-end knowledge of NABL-accredited calibration laboratory operations and B2B sales. The candidate should be capable of independently managing the complete customer lifecycle—from lead generation and client acquisition to quotation preparation, calibration planning, service execution coordination, invoicing, collections, and customer retention.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on exposure to Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal, Pressure, Dimensional, and Process Instrument calibration services and possess a strong understanding of NABL requirements, calibration procedures, uncertainty concepts, and laboratory workflows.
This is a revenue-driven role with responsibility for achieving business growth targets while ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
Generate new B2B business opportunities across manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, automotive, aerospace, healthcare, electronics, food processing, laboratories, and industrial sectors.
Build relationships with Quality Managers, Maintenance Heads, Plant Heads, QA/QC Managers, Procurement Teams, and EHS departments.
Conduct client meetings, technical discussions, and site visits.
Prepare commercial and technical proposals.
Negotiate Annual Calibration Contracts (AMC), rate contracts, and service agreements.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
2. End-to-End Calibration Process Management
Understand customer requirements and identify calibration scope.
Review instrument lists and calibration schedules.
Coordinate pickup, onsite calibration, and laboratory calibration activities.
Liaise with laboratory engineers and technical teams for execution.
Ensure timely generation and delivery of calibration certificates.
Monitor turnaround time (TAT) and service quality.
3. NABL & Technical Coordination
Strong understanding of NABL ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
Knowledge of calibration parameters and measurement capabilities.
Ability to discuss technical calibration requirements with clients.
Familiarity with uncertainty measurement concepts and calibration intervals.
Coordinate audits, documentation, and customer compliance requirements.
4. Commercial & Billing Management
Prepare quotations and cost estimates.
Follow up on quotation conversions.
Generate work orders and service requests.
Coordinate invoicing and billing processes.
Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
Manage customer account reconciliations.
5. Customer Relationship Management
Handle key accounts and maintain long-term client relationships.
Ensure contract renewals and repeat business.
Resolve customer complaints and service issues.
Conduct periodic customer reviews and business development activities.
6. MIS & Reporting
Maintain CRM records.
Track sales pipeline and conversion ratios.
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
Forecast revenue and business opportunities.

Required Qualifications
Education
Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related field.
Experience
5–8 years in NABL-accredited calibration laboratory industry.
Proven experience in both sales and operational coordination.
Existing industry contacts will be an added advantage.

This role is suitable for someone who can function as a mini Business Unit Manager within a NABL-accredited calibration laboratory.
