Job Description

A Solar Sales Executive drives the adoption of renewable energy by prospecting clients, assessing energy needs, and closing sales for solar systems. They educate customers on technology, financing, and government subsidies, acting as the primary link between the client and technical teams.



Key Responsibilities


  • Lead Generation: Actively prospect for new clients through field visits, cold calling, networking, and partner referrals.
  • Site Assessments: Evaluate property energy usage, roof dimensions, shading, and overall system feasibility.
  • Proposals & Quoting: Develop customized solar designs, calculate return on investment (ROI), and present cost-benefit proposals.
  • Customer Education: Guide clients through solar technology, net-metering policies, and government subsidies.
  • Deal Closure: Negotiate pricing, draft sales contracts, and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas.
  • Project Coordination: Serve as the liaison between the client and the engineering/installation teams for seamless project delivery.



Qualifications & Requirements


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (relevant experience is often prioritized).
  • Experience: 1 to 4+ years of direct sales experience, preferably in solar, renewable energy, or electrical product sales.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, and basic electrical concepts.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical jargon into persuasive terms for the consumer.
  • Field Readiness: Comfortable with extensive fieldwork, travel, and local commuting.
