Account Manager

Job SummaryThe Account Manager is responsible for managing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, budgeting, and coordination with project teams to ensure accurate financial records and effective cost control of construction projects.

• Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts & FinanceMaintain books of accounts and ensure accurate accounting entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Verify and process vendor bills, subcontractor bills, and employee reimbursements.
• Monitor cash flow and fund requirements for projects.
• Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, and project accounts regularly.
• Project AccountingTrack project-wise costs, budgets, and expenditures.
• Monitor project profitability and cost variances.
• Prepare project cost reports and MIS reports.
• Verify work orders, purchase orders, and contractor bills.
• Coordinate with project managers for cost control and budget monitoring.
• Taxation & ComplianceEnsure timely filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
• Maintain compliance with Income Tax, GST, and other applicable laws.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and government authorities.
• Manage statutory records and documentation.
• Payroll & Vendor ManagementVerify payroll data and salary processing.
• Ensure timely payments to vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve payment-related issues.
• MIS & ReportingPrepare monthly MIS reports for management review.
• Generate financial analysis reports and budget variance reports.
• Present financial data and recommendations to management.
• Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) / M.Com.
• CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in Accounts & Finance, preferably in the Construction Industry.
• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in project accounting and cost control.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, ERP Software, and MS Excel.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and team management abilities.
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Timely completion of monthly accounts closing.
• Accuracy of financial reports and reconciliations.
• Timely GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Effective project cost monitoring and budget control.
• Timely vendor and contractor payments.
• Zero major audit observations.
