z/OS Validation Engineer

As a QA/Test Developer: Functional/System Verification, you will execute tasks to fully test a service or end-to-end system to ensure it functions according to specifications and client requirements. You will utilize your knowledge of the domain and testing methodologies, tools, and techniques to deliver high-quality solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Design Testing Activities: Develop test cases, scenarios, and use cases to validate service or system functionality, and identify potential issues.

• Execute Testing: Perform functional verification testing or system verification testing to ensure services or systems meet business needs and client requirements.

• Investigate Problems: Recreate problems uncovered during testing, execute fix validations, and provide feedback on usability, serviceability, and documentation.

• Report Status: Inform the appropriate audience of testing progress and results, ensuring transparency and effective communication.

• Provide Feedback: Offer insights on testing outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in systems or OS role
• Strong hands on experience in PL/X and C
• Strong debugging skills
• Experience with exercising/validation of system from user space, and knowledge of user space API
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated execution experience of Systems project development
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and teams, and work effectively in a global team environment.
• Gen AI exposure , usage of AI Tools in testing productivity improvement

•           Exposure or working experience with z/OS. 
•          Exposure or working experience with zfirmware APIs/HMC.
