RIS AWS Lead Architect Associate Director

Project Role Description: Act as the AWS technical authority within the Cloud & AI Practice, designing, validating, and positioning AWS-led solutions across cloud transformation, modernization, and AI/ML. Independently lead mid–large pursuits, define client AWS architecture, and support practice growth by tracking AWS services, partner requirements, and delivery patterns. Must have Skills: AWS (breadth & depth), Cloud-native architecture, Microservices & containers, AI/ML on AWS (Bedrock, SageMaker), Java/Spring Boot, Python (AI/ML), Node.js Good to Have Skills: AWS AI/ML (Bedrock, SageMaker), FinOps, Migration Key Responsibilities: 1. Own AWS architecture and technical narrative for deals ($3M–$20M). 2. Design end-to-end AWS solutions across compute, network, storage, DB, security, analytics, AI/ML aligned to client needs. 3. Architect AWS AI/ML using Bedrock (RAG, agents), SageMaker (MLOps, training/inference), and Amazon Q. 4. Lead modernization using containers (ECS/EKS), serverless (Lambda, Step Functions), APIs (API Gateway/AppSync), and event-driven architectures (MSK/Kinesis). 5. Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework (all 6 pillars) in solutions. 6. Build data & analytics architectures: data lakes (S3/Lake Formation), pipelines (Glue, EMR, Kinesis), and databases (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift, OpenSearch). 7. Support AWS Partner Network growth via competencies, case studies, GTM. 8. Develop proposal artefacts (solutions, diagrams, RFP content, cost models). 9. Conduct discovery workshops and Well-Architected Reviews. 10. Mentor architects and build reusable accelerators/assets. 11. Collaborate with AWS teams for co-sell and funding (MAP, ISV Accelerate). Technical Experience: Strong AWS expertise (EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, VPC, Direct Connect, databases) with solution design and cost optimization. Experience with AWS AI/ML (Bedrock, SageMaker, Amazon Q) integrated with enterprise workflows and frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex). Proficiency in modernization patterns: containers, serverless, APIs, event-driven systems using IaC (CDK, Terraform) and CI/CD (GitOps). Knowledge of data platforms: S3, Lake Formation, Glue, Athena, Kinesis, MSK, Redshift, OpenSearch. Understanding of AWS security & governance: IAM, Organizations, Control Tower, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Zero Trust; plus hybrid/migration tools (Outposts, VMware, MGN, DMS). Professional Attributes: Credible AWS authority engaging architects, CTOs, and partner forums. Strong pre-sales ownership for mid-to-large pursuits. Clear communicator translating complex architectures into business-friendly outputs. Commercially aware of cost, delivery, and client maturity. Collaborative across teams and AWS stakeholders. Continuously updated with AWS roadmap and innovations. Experience & Qualifications: 18+ years IT experience; 3+ years as Solution/Cloud/Pre-sales Architect. AWS experience across domains (modernization, data, AI/ML, security, migration). Experience supporting $3M–$20M AWS deals; familiarity with co-sell/MAP preferred. Hands-on ability to design, validate, and prototype solutions. Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field. AWS Solutions Architect – Professional (mandatory); additional certifications preferred
