Product Manager - Smart Home Technology

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  
• 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  
• Experience translating technical specifications (e.g., cloud APIs, mobile platforms, IoT connectivity standards) into simple, intuitive user experiences.
• Experience in the smart home, IoT, mobile apps, or consumer technology industry.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Engineering, UX, Program Managers) in a matrixed organization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with experience conducting A/B testing, setting up telemetry, and leveraging data to drive product decisions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the product outlook and define the road map for a key feature set or component area within Google Home. Translate high-level strategic inputs into concrete, detailed product requirement documents (PRDs).
• Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for specific features and initiatives that integrate smoothly across the wider Google Home ecosystem.
• Partner closely with Engineering, UX Design, and other stakeholders to align resources and execute on priorities. Drive team alignment and help unblock development challenges.
• Define, track, and monitor success metrics (KPIs) for your product area. Synthesize quantitative analysis and qualitative user feedback to inform key trade-offs and drive feature iterations.
• Advocate execution speed and product quality. Optimize existing workflows, participate in triaging issues, and ensure that launches meet Google's high bar for user trust and reliability.
