Oracle to Postgres on Azure migration

JD: Mandatory skills: Oracle to Postgres on Azure migration.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate on-premises transactional database environments such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, evaluate and plan migrations to AWS RDS, Aurora.
• Enhance database PLSQL scripts/TSQL to migrate from source database to target database
• Identity workarounds for specific issues and corner scenarios observed during migration
• Develop test plan and testcases to demonstrate database readiness post migration

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 6+ years of experience in database development/migration using Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL/PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience on AWS Services - RDS, Aurora, SCT, DMS
• Experience migrating Large databases > 1TB in size across multiple database engines (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, etc. )
• Experience with heterogenous database migrations
• Experience in performance optimization techniques
• High end Troubleshooting and Communication skills
• Scripting language (bash/Perl/python)
• Experience in Database Administration - backup/restore, replication, etc
