Manager

Roles & responsibilities

Collaborate with the Engagement Finance Champions team to support financial operations and achieve objectives across a range of business areas.
Address and resolve process and administrative queries falling outside the scope of other Finance support teams, utilising the workflow management system to track and manage these queries to completion.
Regularly review Work In Progress (WIP) and accrued revenue reports to identify risk areas and potential billing opportunities, ensuring proactive financial management and the implementation of performance improvements when necessary.
Engage with key stakeholders, including Engagement Partners and Managers, to ensure comprehension of the lock-up cycle and the achievement of lock-up targets through effective billing actions.
Ensure adherence to established finance processes and policies, escalating any deviations to maintain compliance and financial integrity within the organisation.
Act as an advocate for finance-driven change programmes by promoting the adoption of automation tools, implementing self-service solutions, and achieving process standardisation for enhanced operational efficiency.
Maintain and continually update the team's knowledge bases and process documentation to ensure information is readily accessible and accurate, supporting team learning and development.
Take ownership of personal performance, identifying areas for improvement and development while also assisting in the training and coaching of new team members to foster a high-performing team environment.
Perform quality checks on the team's handling of queries to contribute to Right First Time statistics and monitor incoming queries to ensure timely and effective resolution.

 

Process Improvement:

Automation and Efficiency: Lead efforts to automate reporting processes and incorporate generative AI tools to enhance efficiency, standardization, and innovation in financial analysis.
Skill Development in Analytics Platforms: Enhance proficiency in emerging data analytics platforms, adapting reports to improve efficiency and insight generation.

Team and Stakeholder Engagement:

Stakeholder Management: Engage effectively with stakeholders, delivering analytical insights that align financial objectives with business strategies, including real-time support to stakeholders starting at 2 PM IST.
Team Leadership: Manage the finance team by setting clear goals, conducting performance appraisals, and fostering a culture focused on continuous learning and analytical excellence.
Training and Best Practices: Lead training sessions to develop analytical skills within the team, sharing best practices, including the use of generative AI, to enhance overall capabilities.
Investment Evaluation: Analyze open accounts receivable, bad debts, and cash flow metrics to provide leadership with insights that support the firm’s liquidity.

This role is for you if you have  the below

Work experience

Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) and advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) are highly desirable, especially those with a focus on UK finance and taxation
Proven track record of managing transitions and integrating new roles effectively from UK Geo
10+ years relevant experience which should be mix of Financial accounting, management accounting and FP&A.
Understanding of financial reporting standards, particularly IFRS 15, fixed asset accounting, and intercompany accounting
Proven track record in driving operational excellence and delivering exceptional customer service.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
Experience with S/4HANA or any related SAP ERP system is a plus.
Resilience and the ability to work effectively with multiple and demanding stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
