Senior Software Development Engineer - Mobile Applications

JOB PURPOSE:

As DP World progresses on its mission of being a global trade enabler, we are looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) 2 specializing in mobile app development, you will take on a more senior role within the development team, leading initiatives, mentoring junior engineers, and driving technical excellence in mobile app development.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Lead the design and implementation of complex features and components in mobile applications.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and technical innovation in mobile app development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring high performance and reliability of mobile applications.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on mobile app development efforts.
  OTHER
• Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP World’s Founder’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
• Perform other related duties as assigned
  

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in mobile app development, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in mobile app development (e.g., Swift, Kotlin, Java, Objective-C, Flutter).
• Experience with mobile app development frameworks, tools, and libraries.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
