Job Summary

Responsible for Maintenance of production machines,Projects planning, Designing and execution of Automation and instrumentation related projects in Facility along with the Instrumentation and automation related breakdowns of engineering.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Execute all engineering operations as per established ARPL standards and procedures.
  2. Ensure adherence to procedure vs practices and Good documentation practices.
  3. Ensure a disciplined work environment & quality culture for cGMP compliance.
  4. Responsible for troubleshooting related to Instrumentation and automation related works in process areas.
  5. Identification and making standards as per current electrical codes and standards.
  6. Coordination with IS and IT team for automation projects.
  7. Responsible for automation of Industry 4.0, Connected worker concepts.
  8. Identification of various automation projects to make the system reliable and mistake proof, so that rework can be avoided.
  9. Co-ordination with user department for automation, control upgradation projects & ensuring the completion with in committed time lines.
  10. Developing and enhancing electro-mechanical systems performance and mechatronic devices.
  11. Conducting existing HMI/PLC system study, documenting findings, and presenting reports with solution approach.
  12. Developing trouble shooting solution for various electro-mechanical failures and finalize the approach.
  13. Periodical healthiness assessment of PLC/HMI system along with operators and plan for proactive maintenance.
  14. Creating/re-designing automated systems and the software to control them.
  15. Communicate with vendors related to material dispatch and project documentation.
  16. Preparation and review of project documents from User Requirement Specifications, Change Control, Risk Assessment, Functional Design Specifications, Functional Requirement Specifications, Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification, SOP & Performance Qualification (as applicable).
  17. Co-ordination with the user departments for maintenance issues / problems and ensuring completion of maintenance requests / corrective maintenance work orders.
  18. Technical training to subordinates to keep them updated.
  19. Execution / Supervision with the help of contractor’s on daily basis for follow up and completion of maintenance activities.
  20. Ensuring and maintaining engineering inventory management / up keep of minimum stock availability for engineering spares of process machines.
  21. Providing all required maintenance support to ARPL as per the departments requirements and operates in full compliance with, all regulatory requirements and according to established safety norms

  • Educational Qualification
    • Minimum Bachelors degree in Engineering Instrumentation/Electronics & Instrumentation.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Should have good knowledge in engineering activities and handling the documents.
    • Works effectively towards acheiveing the engineering compliance.
    • Should have good interpersonal and communicational skills.
    • Should have adequate knowledge in PLC, IPC/HMI troubleshooting including Softwares.
    • Should be able to drive projects related to engineering.
    • Should be aware about Automation of Industry 4.0 connected worker concepts.
    • Should be able to understand the user requirements.
    • Should have capabilities for designing & developing control systems.
    • Should be able to understand & develop business proposals based on user requirments.
    • Should have understanding and ensure compliance with relevant health & safety regulations and quality standards.
    • Skills in Project and Plant Maintenance.
    • Should have exposure to any of the regulatory audits like USFDA, MHRA, HC, TGA
    • Should have skills in specific control disciplines, such as
    • advanced process control (APC)
    • distributed control systems (DCS)
    • programmable logic controllers (PLC)
    • supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)
  • Experience
    • Minimum 3 years experience for B.E/B.Tech Engineering in pharmaceutical industry
