Deputy Manager -Design Quality Assurance

Roles and Responsibilities

 

• Design Verification & Validation (V&V): Review schematics, PCB layouts, and gerber files to verify they meet product specifications and industry standards
• Test Planning & Execution: Review of comprehensive test plans for hardware components (e.g., PCBA, power supplies, embedded systems)
• Failure Analysis: Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on design anomalies, prototype failures, and component defects, driving corrective and preventive actions
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure designs adhere to international regulatory and quality standards (e.g., ISO, RoHS, UL, CE)
• Design for Excellence (DfX): Collaborate with R&D teams to implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Testing (DFT) principles, minimizing production defects with participation in FMEA activities
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of QA activities, test data, risk assessments, and product specifications
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in hardware debugging, PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, PCB Cad), and using test equipment like oscilloscope, Multimeter, and spectrum analyser.
• Quality Methodologies: Strong working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean principles.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, high attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional and engineering teams.
