Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical direction and architectural design of bespoke software solutions. This role requires guiding teams through the entire development lifecycle, from initial design concepts to final delivery. The position focuses on establishing development standards and ensuring that the software produced meets high benchmarks for quality, scalability, and performance. Collaboration with various stakeholders to align technical efforts with business goals is a key aspect, along with continuous evaluation and improvement of processes to support successful project outcomes.

- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the development and implementation of best practices to enhance software quality and efficiency.
- Mentor and support team members to foster professional growth and technical expertise.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project milestones.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns relevant to custom software development.
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization of applications within SAP HANA environments.
- Ability to lead code reviews and enforce coding standards to maintain high-quality deliverables.
- Familiarity with integration techniques and tools to connect custom solutions with existing enterprise systems.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms, and workflows.
- Manage Transport Requests (TR) — creation, release, sequencing, and movement across SAP landscapes.
- Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Work on enhancements, user exits, BADIs, and BAPIs.
- Ensure compliance with SAP development standards and best practices.
- Support system upgrades, patches, and migration activities.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
