What would you do? To oversee and implement effective project planning, risk assessment, cost management, and scheduling activities for power generation, transmission, and distribution projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and compliance with utility standards and regulations.
What are we looking for? Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engg • Degree or certification in Project Management / Risk Management / Cost Control (preferred). ________________________________________ Experience: • Enough experience in power utility / EPC / transmission & distribution / generation projects. • Strong exposure to project controls, risk assessment, and cost management systems. • Hands-on experience in Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel-based cost models. Key Skills: • Project risk analysis and mitigation planning • Cost estimation and variance analysis • Scheduling and critical path analysis • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (CEA, CERC, state utilities) • Data-driven reporting and analytics • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
Roles and Responsibilities: Cost Estimation & Control • Prepare project cost estimates and budgets for CAPEX and OPEX components. • Monitor cost performance against approved budgets and forecasts. • Support procurement teams in bid evaluations and cost benchmarking. • Generate cost variance reports and recommend cost-optimization measures. • Ensure adherence to utility financial governance and audit requirements. Performance Monitoring & Reporting • Develop KPI dashboards for schedule, cost, and risk indicators. • Prepare monthly project performance and progress reports for leadership. • Support earned value analysis (EVA) to track schedule and cost efficiency. • Present insights for management review and regulatory reporting.
