Team Overview 

1. The position in discussion is with the Tax Technology (ES) team consists of highly skilled resources that are dedicated to supporting our member firms, learning and deploying leading practices and innovative solutions, and helping our clients grow. 

2. Our team comprises software engineers, technical leads, architects, Business Analysts, PMs, testers, test architect, data scientists, data engineers etc. with strong technical and tax domain knowledge. Team builds data/engineering products and solutions for our tax business and clients.  Client engagements are run leveraging these products & solutions

The Role 

1. Working as an integral part of the Application Operations team, you will work closely with Support Analysts, Software Developers, Product teams, Service delivery teams & 3rd party suppliers to ensure the smooth running of key client assets across Tax & Legal. We are looking for someone with a background in technology, ideally to degree level to join an expanding team and be part of a new Technology capability.

2. You will have … 

• Proven track record of excelling in a busy delivery environment 

• Excellent organisational, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 

• Strong communication skills – written and verbal

• Ability to grasp new concepts and learn quickly

• Familiarity with ITIL concepts and associated best practice

• Experience of one or more industry standard ITSM tools

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team or on own initiative

1. You may have … 

• Intermediate knowledge of MS Desktop and Server operating systems

• Intermediate knowledge of SQL scripting and/or PowerShell scripting

• ITIL Foundation certification

• Experience of supporting bespoke software solutions

• First-hand experience of incident management & request fulfilment in an Application Support/2nd line context

• Release & Deployment experience

• Experience of Jira Service Management 

• Experience of producing management information/reporting for senior management

• Service Management experience 

In this role you will … 

1. Be a subject matter expert for one or more Tax software products, be responsible for ensuring adherence to the team’s processes with an opportunity to influence changes to these going forward, contribute to major incident management, be responsible for escalating to tertiary support teams and/or management as appropriate and contribute to the overall management of applications and services within support
