Responsibilities

• Perform cyber security reviews and risk assessments for firewall change requests, ensuring alignment with security standards, compliance requirements and least-privilege principles. 
• Track and drive remediation of configuration, policy and security violations.
• Act as Network Security SME and technical escalation point for complex network security matters.
• Drive policy compliance and audit readiness through NSPM tool reporting and workflows.
• Perform security risk assessment and technical reviews of firewall changes involving IT-to-OT and OT-to-IT communications, ensuring compliance with segmentation and security requirements. 

• Demonstrate strong familiarity with industry frameworks and standards such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, and vendor-specific firewall CIS benchmarks.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to enhance the organization’s security posture.
• Utilize AI tools such as GitHub, Copilot to develop and test automation scripts, Infrastructure as Code frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, Python etc.), and other engineering tools. 
• Deliver expert-level support for complex security issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop and Maintain Process documents and SOPs. 
• Track and report on key operations metrics to leadership. 
• Take ownership for team level decisions ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational priorities.
• Shift Coverage: Willingness to support 24x7 operations.

Qualifications

• 6-11 years of overall security experience preferable.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Network security posture management platforms such as Tufin, Algosec. 
• Cyber security reviews and risk assessments for firewall change requests
• Strong understanding of firewall technologies, network security architecture, segmentation, threat prevention and access control frameworks. 
• Expertise in multi-vendor NGFWs deployment, Migrations & Operations.
• Hands-on experience with at least two of the following- Fortinet, Palo Alto, WAF (Web Application Firewalls), Checkpoint. 
• Hands-on experience with implementing security automation and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, Python etc.)
• Bachler degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking or Computer Security or equivalent.
• Certification: CISM, Security+, CEH, TCSE3, PCNSE or equivalent. 
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
