Welder / Fitter

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Welder/Fitter to fabricate and assemble mild steel components for warehouse racking systems according to engineering drawings and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and understand fabrication drawings.
• Mark, measure, and fit MS components accurately.
• Perform MIG/ARC welding on MS materials.
• Fabricate pallet racks, shelving, cable trays, mezzanine structures, and other steel products.
• Grind, finish, and inspect welds.
• Maintain dimensional accuracy during fabrication.
• Operate fabrication tools such as:
• Welding machine
• Angle grinder
• Magnetic drill
• Hand drill
• Cutting machine
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Coordinate with the production supervisor to complete jobs on schedule.

Required Skills

• Experience in MS fabrication.
• Knowledge of welding techniques.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings.
• Experience in fitting and alignment.
• Good measuring skills using tape, vernier, and square.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Qualification

• ITI Welder/Fitter preferred.
• SSLC/PUC can also apply if experienced.
